Established as Sailor’s Snug Harbor in 1801 in Staten Island, Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden is one of New York City’s unique architectural complexes. A campus of more than 80 acres of park land, Snug Harbor and is home to four cultural institutions, Staten Island’s only botanical garden, dozens of nonprofits, community organizations, education institutions, and artists, and is a Smithsonian Institute Affiliate.
